DR TOOT introduces the GD for Bb Clarinet from Gonzalez in Argentina.

All Reeds are hand selected by the manufacturer, located in Mendoza, Argentina. Established in 1985, they have their own organic plantations in very special zones at the foot of the Andes Mountain Range and a factory with high-tech and precision machinery.

The GD reeds for Bb clarinet owe their name to the union of the Gonzalez and Davolos families, current owners of the brand.

GD reeds are made from a cane with a classic French Cut. It is made exclusively with our best material, with a larger diameter, a thickness of 3.15mm, and a minimum ageing of 3 years. This material is normally used in the manufacture of alto saxophone reeds.  This gives a much deeper sound.  They are the first Gonzalez reeds with a Filed Cut. Furthermore, its hardness is divided into 1/4 for a more precise choice.

The reed has a longer scraping area and more wood in the heel, therefore is a more vibrant and lasting reed.
