DR TOOT has for sale a Pre-loved Selmer Tenor Saxophone Reference 54 Collector’s Edition – Dragonbird #T039.

In 2005, Henri SELMER Paris launched the limited edition “Bird” series in honour of the 50th anniversary of Charlie “Bird” Parker’s death. These SELMER saxophones feature special engravings and some different specifications. A total of five special editions were produced between 2005 and 2012, with a typical bird selected for each continent and the saxophones engraved accordingly: Edition I: “Hummingbird” America (2005), Edition II: “Kookaburra” Australia (2006), Edition III: “Flamingo” – Africa (2007), Edition IV: ‘Firebird’ – Europe (2008-2010) and, as the last series, Edition V: “Dragonbird” – Asia (2011-2012).

In addition to the “normal” Series III (alto and tenor), the Dragonbird series also included a strictly limited “Collector’s Edition” (soprano Series III, alto Reference 54, and tenor Reference 54).

Only 150 “Dragon Bird” Collector Reference 54 tenor saxophones were produced, and the one offered here is number 39!

This saxophone comes from its first owner and is in excellent condition and is only 3 years old!
